The Southern Appalachian Science and Engineering Fair (SASEF)
Volunteers for this event traditionally serve as judges for science projects presented by budding scientists from our region. Has passed for 2018, usually happens in late March/early April.
Science Olympiad
This is an annual, nationwide science competition for middle and high school students. This event is across several days and floods the Hill with students and parents. Volunteers typically spend half a day helping with specific competitive events. It's fun! Has passed for 2018, usually happens in late March/early April.
Clubes de Ciencia
An international non-profit organization focused on creating in-depth research experiences for high school students. Apply to be an instructor and travel to one of six Latin American countries to teach them advanced techniques. Contact Gabriel Fuente for more information.
Hydrolunteers
This award-winning student organization works with Keep Knoxville Beautiful to clean up local waterways.
